Riese: Kingdom Falling

Riese the Series, Riese, or Riese: Kingdom Falling.  Ahh the many names of Riese. No matter how you may or may not know of it, Riese: Kingdom Falling is a steampunk-inspired webseries currently being streamed by Syfy.com and Hulu.

Riese: Kingdom Falling takes place in Eleysia, a dying kingdom where distrust and anxiety have clouded people's minds, causing a regression into primitive ways of thinking. Rituals and mythology have resurged, and the darker side of mankind has begun to reveal itself. Riese, a wanderer, travels across the decaying land with her wolf, Fenrir. Marked as a heretic by religious group The Sect and the new Empress, Riese must evade their assassins and discover their true intentions for Eleysia.
I first discovered Riese from a link that was posted on the GateWorld forum, saying that Sharon Taylor, the actress who played Amelia Banks on Stargate Atlantis, was going to be in a webseries.  So I checked it out and found that I knew the entire main cast of "Chapter 1" from one show or another.  At the time, the main cast was made up of only 4 actors: Christine Chatelain (Riese), Sharon Taylor (Amara), Ben Cotton (Herrick), and Patrick Gilmore (Trennan).  "Chapter 1" aired on Youtube starting in November 2009.

Riese has come a long way since then.

In December 2009, "Chapter 2" was filmed which added actors such as Ryan Robbins (Rand), Emilie Ullerup (Sanctuary), Alessandro Juliani (Garin), and Allison Mack (Smallville) to the cast.

February 2010, only a few days after the first episode of "Chapter 2" aired, Riese was taken off of Youtube because of a deal with Fireworks International

After a long wait, Riese: Kingdom Falling is now being streamed at Syfy.com/Riese with the possibility of making it into a television show.  Starting early this year it will also be played by Spacecast.com and Syfy's International websites.  I hope the best for everyone involved with this webseries because I've gotten so attached to it and don't want to see it end.

As always, if you have any questions for me leave me a comment.

Hi!

I've decided to create this blog because I thought it would be fun to have a public blog to discuss fandom and my favorite stuff.  If anyone has any questions (let's not get really personal please), feel free to leave me a comment with your ??'s.
